CAREER TRANSACTIONS: Draft rights acquired by the Wizards from Philadelphia in exchange for the draft right to Nate Wolters (38th overall) and Arsalan Kazemi (6/27/13).

PROFESSIONALLY: Played for the Rio Grande Valley Vipers of the NBA D- League during the 2012-13 season… Averaged 13.0 points and 6.2 rebounds while shooting .491 from the floor and .385 from three-point range in 42 regular season games…Improved his numbers in the postseason, averaging 25.0 points, 9.5 rebounds, 4.3 assists, 2.0 steals and 2.0 blocks to lead the Vipers to the D-League championship…Was named to the 2012-13 NBA D-League All Rookie Second-Team…Was unanimously named Most Valuable Player of the 2014 Samsung NBA Summer League after averaging a league-high 25.0 points to go along with 7.8 rebounds and 2.5 steals while shooting .469 from the field and .361 from three-point range in leading the Wizards to a 5-1 record.

2013-14: Averaged 2.9 points and 1.8 rebounds in 11 games (1 start)… Tallied a career-high eight points and five rebounds at ATL (12/13)… Played for 16 minutes and had career high of three assists against CLE (11/20)… Missed 15 games due to injury, right wrist surgery (12/18-1/13)… Assigned to the Iowa Energy of the NBA Development League (01/20) recalled by the Wizards (01/28), returned to Iowa Energy (02/27) and recalled by the Wizards (4/5)… With the Iowa Energy he averaged 17.2 points, 6.2 rebounds and 1.9 assists and 1.7 steals in 19 games.

COLLEGIATELY: Averaged 13.0 points, 6.7 rebounds and 2.3 assists during his junior season at Georgia Tech (2011- 12)…Tied a career-high with 28 points versus Duke…Scored 10+ points in 15 of 21 games as a junior…Named to the ACC All-Academic Team following the 2010 season…Posted averages of 12.8 points, 5.6 rebounds and 2.5 assists as a sophomore.

PERSONALLY: Was born in Miami, Florida....Son of Glen Rice and Tracey Starwood...His father became the all-time leading scorer at Michigan who went on to play 15 years in the NBA...Helped Michigan win a national championship in 1989, and the Los Angeles Lakers win an NBA title in 2000…Has a younger brother, G’mitri…Finished his career as Walton’s all-time leader in points (1,783) and assists (353)…Led team to a state title in 2009 and was named to the all-state team.
